Book Making
We believe that art–and life–necessarily require collaboration. This belief, formed through our backgrounds in dance, theater, visual art, performance music, and writing is a passion which led us to embark on Imprint Press, a publishing project dedicated to labor-intensive limited edition book collaborations of text and image. We dearly admire the collaborations of artists such as John Cage and Merce Cunningham, Mei-Mei Berssenbrugge and Kiki Smith, and we hope, in our small way, to contribute to these ways of making art, of making life. Blending computer technology with hand crafts, we make our books in our Art Shed and distribute them in the form of gifts that show up unsolicited in the mailboxes of people whose artwork and lifework we could not be without.
